About the restoration

This ex-works Beamish, once ridden by Nigel Birkett was broken up and sold off for spares in the late 1990's by the former Works Manager - Simon Tyler. Purely by coincidence I reunited the majority of the parts back into a working bike in 2013. The rusty frame and short engine were with a former works-supported rider in Surrey. The rest of the parts I found with a former Beamish employee in Pembrokeshire. This was the only works bike that Beamish ever made where they cut out the bottom frame rails and welded in a solid steel bash plate. This resulted in a superb ground clearance not even found on today's trials bikes. Restored by: Jim Evans
